Rob first referenced Reader’s Digest Complete Do-it-yourself Manual, for construction practices and techniques in 1980. It explained - in a simple and organized manner - the seemingly complex built environment. Combined with a steady dose of ceramics, drawing, sculpture, and art classes, Rob was destined for architecture. Rob understands what it means to ‘find a job you love, and do it.’
Rob graduated with a Bachelor in Architecture from Virginia Tech in 1995. Upon graduation he returned to Pittsburgh working with Apostolou Associates (‘95-’01) and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson (‘01-’21), building a portfolio of experience in masterplanning, designing, and delivering exceptional places for people to learn, live, play, and work.
Along the way, Rob assisted friends and family with home and business design projects, encouraging the launch of Sliced Bread Architecture as a full service architectural practice.
If you can’t find Rob in the garden, he is likely at Home Depot or out walking the dogs.
